Phoenix Raceway delivered a hard-fought 100-lap battle on Tuesday night as #16 Mitchell Williams claimed the victory from fifth on the starting grid, holding off #10 Javier Zapata in a race that saw eight lead changes and five cautions consume 15 of the 100 laps. Williams led 41 laps to Zapata's 39, with the two drivers splitting the majority of the race's front-running duties in what amounted to a two-car fight at the front. #93 Brent Just, who won the pole and led nine laps early, faded to sixth by the checkered flag — a five-position drop from where he started. #99 Ron Walters rounded out the podium in third after starting second, leading five laps before being shuffled back as Williams and Zapata traded the advantage through the middle stages.

Zapata crossed the line in second, collecting 37 points in what was a strong showing for the #10 entry. For Walters, the P3 result is notable as a series breakthrough — his prior win count in the OGRL ARCA series stands at zero, making Tuesday's podium a career-first top-three in the series. #23 Wyatt Collins quietly turned in one of the better drives of the night, climbing six positions from tenth to fourth while leading a single lap, though his 10 incidents will raise some eyebrows.

The night's standout story beyond the front runners belonged to #11 Donny Staubitz, who charged from 19th on the grid all the way to eighth at the finish — a gain of 11 positions that earned him Hard Charger honors for Round 8. Staubitz's run wasn't without cost, as he logged 12 incidents along the way, but the result — and the 29 points that came with it — keeps him relevant in the broader field. #225 Bryce Grissom also deserves recognition, advancing 10 spots from 21st to 11th, and doing so with only six incidents across 100 laps. The only driver to complete the race with zero incidents was Javier Zapata, who was clean throughout.

With Round 8 in the books, Williams now sits atop the standings with 230 points, extending his advantage to 14 points over Brandon Cowell, who does not appear in the top five finishing order and will be watching the gap closely. Wyatt Collins sits third at 203 points, 27 back of Williams, while Zapata's strong runner-up finish has him fourth at 196 — still within striking distance with rounds remaining. Richard Modrich rounds out the top five at 187 points despite a difficult night that included 16 incidents. Williams' third win of the season keeps him firmly in control of the points race, but with Cowell lurking 14 points back, the title fight is far from settled.
