Talladega Superspeedway delivered its trademark chaos on Tuesday night as the OGRL Old Guy Racing League's ARCA Series completed Round 6, and when the checkered flag fell it was #23 Wyatt Collins standing in victory lane after 42 laps of carnage, cautions, and lead changes. Collins, who rolled off from third, led 3 of the race's 42 laps — enough to be in the right place when it mattered most, as 13 lead changes and 6 cautions reshuffled the running order repeatedly. Pole sitter #5 Rick Sanchez, who paced the field for 12 laps — more than any other driver — ultimately faded to a 24th-place finish, a brutal swing that encapsulates exactly what Talladega can do to a race day. For Collins, it is his first win of the season in the ARCA Series, though he does carry one prior all-time series victory into this result.

Behind Collins, #17 Ricky Riley delivered a strong run from his P9 starting spot to claim second, while the story of the night belonged to #24 Levi Wolfe, who climbed from 23rd on the grid all the way to the final podium position. Wolfe's charge from the back — 20 positions gained across 42 laps through six caution periods — earned him the Hard Charger award and, just as significantly, a 34-point haul that has immediate consequences on the standings. Meanwhile, #074 Ric Wishon quietly turned in a composed run from P8 to P4, leading 5 laps along the way, and #16 Mitchell Williams matched that 5-lap ledger while finishing fifth in a race where only one of 31 drivers — #12 Charles Sanchez — completed the event without a single incident.

The incident sheet told a wild story in its own right. #19 Jason Seams crossed the line in 19th while carrying 37 incidents — the highest of any finisher — followed closely by #20 Earl Seams at 28 and #99 Ron Walters at 18. On the other end of the spectrum, Collins himself kept his incident count to just 4 to seal the win, a meaningful stat on a night when contact was essentially a given. Pre-race favorites felt the Talladega bite hard: #295 Rick Hughes fell from P7 to P27, losing 20 positions, and #4 Rick Siebrands tumbled from P4 to P22 despite leading 3 laps earlier in the going.

In the standings, the result reshuffles the top of the table in significant ways. Brandon Cowell still holds the points lead at 154, but he is absent from tonight's top ten, leaving Mitchell Williams — fifth tonight — within 8 points at 146. Wyatt Collins jumps to third at 140 after his victory, and Levi Wolfe's hard-charging third-place run vaults him to fourth at 130 points, just 14 back of Williams. Javier Zapata rounds out the top five at 124 after an 11th-place finish. With Cowell's lead shrinking and Collins and Wolfe both demonstrating they have the pace to win, the points fight entering the second half of the season is very much alive for multiple drivers.
