Ric Wishon delivered a commanding performance at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Monday night, taking the victory in Round 6 of the OGRL Old Guy Racing League BMW M2 Series. Starting from the pole in the #074 machine, Wishon led all 16 laps of a clean, caution-free race — the data confirming zero lead changes across the entire distance. It was his fifth win of the season in the series, and with 98 points now to his name in the standings, Wishon continues to set the pace in this BMW M2 campaign.

Behind him, #4 David Tamira delivered a strong run to second place after starting third, keeping his incident sheet clean across the 16 laps and recording what stands as his first podium finish in the series. #929 Uwe Hale completed the podium in third, gaining three positions from his sixth-place starting spot despite collecting five incidents along the way. The hard charger award belonged without question to #5 Rick Sanchez, who launched from dead last in the 17-car field and carved his way to a fifth-place finish, gaining 12 positions across 16 laps of racing at Charlotte. That kind of execution from the back of the grid on a circuit that yielded zero cautions means every position Sanchez gained came in green-flag traffic — a genuine statement drive. Meanwhile, #6 Rick Mogstad had the opposite evening, sliding three spots back from fourth to seventh while accumulating 11 incidents, and #10 Wyatt Collins had the roughest night of all, dropping 14 positions from second on the grid to 16th at the finish.

In the standings, Wishon's margin over second-placed Camron Frederick — who does not appear in tonight's results — now stretches to 13 points. Frederick's absence from the finishing order will be a significant factor as the series heads forward. Third, fourth, and fifth in points are tightly packed, with Alex Bishop and Andrew McMurray both sitting at 70 points and Uwe Hale just two points back at 68 — tonight's podium run keeping the #929 crew very much in the conversation heading into the rounds ahead.
